Viann Vanderwall, a Utah State-bound senior at Queen Creek High, placed second in the Division 1 girls triple jump final with a lifetime-best effort of 38-8.50 (11.80m) in the sixth round at the Arizona Interscholastic Association state championship meet at Red Mountain High in Mesa.
