Dash Wasson, a sophomore at Queen Creek High, won the Division 1 boys pole vault title with a first-attempt clearance at 16 feet (4.88m) at the Arizona Interscholastic Association state championship meet at Red Mountain High. Wasson captured the Division 4 crown last year with a 15-6 (4.72m) clearance competing for Crismon High.
