Nicole Ripperdan, a sophomore at Queen Creek High in Arizona, placed runner-up in the second section of the girls open 800 meters in 2:13.64 at the 56th Arcadia Invitational at Arcadia High in California. Ripperdan also finished ninth in the fourth section of the 400 meters in 59.86 seconds.
